Игра сделана в рамках курса "Нарративный гейм-дизайн" Нарраторики.
Idea:
The main character unexpectedly finds himself in a fantasy world, where he has to become an assistant in a tavern with some unusual visitors for one day.
Plot:
A young man falls asleep while working and has a strange dream in which he finds himself in a magical world where he is asked to look after a tavern.
Talking animals, Ancient Evil, magic - all this seems unnatural and "foreign" to him. In addition, he is haunted by strange sensations: sounds whose source he cannot determine, and visions that stand out from the surroundings.
In the end the owner of the tavern tells the young man that she has summoned him from another world. The main character's suspicions are justified. He wakes up. He is met by his girlfriend, who asks him questions and helps him analyze his dream.
Narrative techniques:
- variability: the player is given several options to describe the environment
- text: the words in the game are not just a non-verbal description of the object, but the object itself
- notifications: to depict “visions”, notifications that make no sense to either the player or the character intrude into the gameplay
- decreased agency: the player loses control where the main character loses willpower
